1997 PalmPilot Proffesional. Thing is like brand new. Looks like it was maybe used once or twice.
Weren't things supposed to get smaller in the future?
Oh yes, gotta have your portfolio personalised.
I now just need a serial to USB adapter or something similar to hook it up. HotSync baby

Hahah that is awesome. I remember being like 8-10 and my dad having a few different Palm organizers and I thought they were the coolest shit. I remember trying to write in that wacko graffiti language on the pad at the bottom.

I still think it is the best organizer software to date.

Except the 1200HP one will only do it once before wasting the transmission, right?

I bought this bad boy brand new on 23 November 1996 at 1:44 pm EST for the cool sum of $249.88 before sales tax (I know because I kept the receipt for some weird reason). I really thought that GEOS and Graffiti would catch on.

That looks awesome. 1MB of Ram? Like holy shit. Reminds me of a modern PDA with a keyboard:

It also has a 80186 clone CPU clocking in at a blistering 16 MHz. This thing's only out of date by between two to three orders of magnitude.

Somewhere around here I have a Palm 5 and a LifeDrive with 4GB! of storage. It'll take me years to fill up all that space!

When it was released I wanted one of those SO BAD. It was like the perfect device for everything. Wifi, great storage, color screen. If it was a phone and thinner it would've been amazing.

I know my parents still have these, I remember playing Chess on them while we would go on long road trips. They're actually popular in the Rx-7 community since the rtek ECU piggyback software works with them. Just plug it in and you can tune it on the fly as well as keep an eye on important readings.

Tuning a car with a palm? Cool.
Full of the sound of the Gran Fury, signifying nothing.

That might go great with the 20" iMac G4 I picked up last week. I don't know what I'm going to do with it, but it's a cool piece, especially since it was free.
